It was suggested by my pedicure nail tech to use a glass file on my fingernails. Was explained that it gives a much smoother finish, prevents micro tears in the nail edge while almost sealing the edge. Keeping this edge smooth & sealed has stopped the nail peeling I'd always experienced. My nails have grown longer & stronger than they've ever been.The files themselves are beautiful & provide an extremely smooth finish. I appreciate having 3 different sizes as well. The small one is being kept in my purse. I rinse the file off in warm water after use, pat dry & return to its case for safe keeping. I understand keeping them clean will ensure their longevity. I've only had mine a few months but so far they work & look like new.My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to provide a better case. Each file does comes in a thin velvety sleeve but it lacks stability. A hard case would be so much better.In the end, I am very pleased with these files & would encourage others to purchase & also experience the smoothest nails ever!I bought this product after my daughter stated that she couldn’t stand the feeling of using the disposable files. Then I did research because I wasn’t even aware that glass mail files even existed. I also discovered how damaging disposable files are to your nails. I was So excited to try these and they are GREAT although I cannot stand the feeling of using them on my own nails- but my teenagers like them. They do such a great job with minimal effort and don’t rip apart your nails. Would def recommend.i know nothing of products like this. After years of destroying my nails from biting or other things, i wanted to make a life change. never have to throw these away, I just clean with water. i have really started to learn the art of nail shaping, and I have become a bit more relaxed in life and stopped destroying my nails…. almost…. Also, I have lightly chipped the ends somehow, but i’m not super stressed about it. Obviously i’m not a pro nail person.I have purchased other glass files that did not file well and returned to these. I would prefer 3 of the middle size, but I can't seem to find them in this brand. I now have 3 sets of these and use them regularlyI loved the quality and style of these nail files. I have had them for about a month and I'm happy to have bought them so I don't keep buying nail files that get worn out and that I have to throw away. The small one is perfect to carry in my bag.This is the real deal... I got another set from a different brand and the "file" was glued on and could be scratched off pretty easily, and was far too rough.This set of nail files are the one you want. Cannot be scratched, can be washed, and the file is very soft and very fine grit. It almost feels like velvet. Great for shaping my nails and smoothing a rough finish.These seem pretty sturdy and each has it's own little case. I really like these nail files.I’ve been looking for a good quality glass nail file for quite awhile and am so glad I stumbled upon these! They are sturdy, good quality, and are the perfect grade of abrasive to quickly and cleanly get your nails in shape. I haven’t used the larger one yet (I’m assuming it’s meant for callouses), but I’m sure it will do the job as well as its smaller counterparts.My nails grow beautifully in the summer but flake and split the moment I’m back in the uk (rain) so googled how to solve my problem. It’s early days but these files seem to have solved my problem. They make tiny snags in nails disappear avoiding catastrophe, the very fine filing creates a fine nail dust of minuscule particles, it’s impressive. When I use a regular file the problem nail is never really solved it always results in more snags or a tear! I cannot compare these glass files to any others brands as these are my first but i agree with the other 5star reviews. They’re well crafted and a lovely weight, very fine filing is achieved. I’m careful not to plonk them down as they’re glass after all but I think the mini one would stay intact in my handbag no problem. I’m not fussed about the aesthetics of a nail files but these are pretty slick looking so a bonus. I recommendLong strong nails are a novelty for me having developed them after a year of taking a biotin supplement. Never before have I had to file them down because they were too long. I found this difficult and tried many different files. At first I was sceptical about glass files but after reading the reviews, took the plunge and ordered them. OMG! Why didn’t I do this sooner! These files are incredible and I will never use anything else. As a previous reviewer said, they sort out the minor snags before they become a catastrophe. Shaping my nails is now so quick and easy. I am so impressed that I will be ordering some for my Daughter and my teenage Granddaughter! Great value for money too.I think that these are the third lot I've bought as they are so perfect and I wanted to have them in all handbags and every room. There are plenty of awful copies out there, some in lovely cases, but none that last more than a couple of uses. These are the real ones and are properly etched and will last forever. Can't sing their praises enough. The only nail file worth buying and I'll buy some more.I am really glad I bought these. They are much smoother in the hand than an Emery board. I also didn’t like the lack of a point on these for cleaning out the nails.I received three files of differing sizes; I use the smallest one the most, the middle size I use on my toenails, the largest one is too big for anything at all.I hadn’t seen these before but now I have bought some I realise they are a lot cheaper on the high street although I don’t know what the quality is like.I think these will last a good while.
