First of all, I’m an amateur and do my own nails at home. I’ve done press-ons with glue, press-ons with glue tabs, dip, my own acrylic, etc, so I’ve tried several different methods. I saw a similar solid glue on Facebook but ordered this to give it a try. I used it with some drug store French manicure press-on nails (KISS acrylic-style “Nude” which I cut down to a reasonable length) and I am pleasantly surprised! In the past I’ve been disappointed in regular super glue-type nail glues because there would be bubbles underneath the press-on nail and you could see it through the nail itself on French manicures AND I didn’t always get the nail positioned just right in time before the glue dried and/or I got the superglue on my fingers, then on the nail, too, which ruined the finish. With this one, I prepped my nails and used this glue to put them on with a LED light that I had from another product. This glue is not liquid-y at all. It is a semi-solid consistency and not sticky on your fingers or clothes. I put a small bit (smaller than a pea) inside the nail, pressed it into the nail as evenly as I could making sure to get it to the sidewalls evenly, too. I pressed down firmly so that I could really feel the suction with the press on nail and my real nail. I found it easy to use and you’ve got plenty of time to adjust/readjust to get your false nail just right before curing. The glue is opaque and no visible bubbles — yay! User note: make SURE you clean up the squished out glue at your cuticle and underneath before curing. And now for the biggest surprise of all: you can reuse your press-on nails! I purposely removed two of my nails this morning (alcohol spritz) and did a quick soak in alcohol and the glue came out of the nail perfectly so I can reuse the nails — BONUS! I have not tried the builder-gel part of this set but I’m sure happy with the glue! Its a game-changer for me. I can’t tell you how long it lasts because I’ve only had it on since last Friday but they feel pretty solid.
